Photo-to-video essentials: a better first frame
A short preparation checklist for a consistent subject, a stable scene and a clip that fits a vertical feed.
Start with the crop
For the subway scene, use one subject facing the camera with some room above the head. A chest-up photo leaves enough context for clothing while keeping the face prominent.
A portrait canvas suits a 9:16 output. Do not stretch a landscape image to fill it. Crop the background first and keep the subject's face away from the frame edges.
Describe one place and one action
Specify the setting, framing and main gesture. Keep the prompt focused on a quiet subway carriage, a singing expression and a single raised hand or paw. Extra scene changes can compete with identity consistency.
Separate the visual brief from the soundtrack
A 10-second target is a planning choice, not a guarantee of provider output length. Review the provider's available durations and audio options before submitting.
After generation, trim and align the clip in an editor or the publishing app. Use music you are allowed to add. Verify lip sync by watching the result rather than relying on a prompt promise.
Save a reusable brief
Keep the selected subject type and prompt in My drafts. This version stores text and settings, so keep your original photo separately. You can return to the tool and choose it again.
